Hope for 西日本

Weather conditions

with landslides take lives and leave

parts of Japan ruined

So sorry to see the devastation caused by the torrential rain and landslides in western Japan these last few weeks.  Some of the scenes from news reports and images are just hard to fathom. I dearly hope more people can be found as many are missing. Many people have unfortunately already lost their lives.

I’m sure the Japanese army and other involved parties at a community level are doing their best.

Great news to hear of the twelve boys and their coach who were rescued from the cave in Northern Thailand before Thailand’s approaching monsoon rain season made conditions impossible for rescue.    Well done to the brave boys, who had to learn to dive there in the cave and their coach (despite his mistake in bringing them in there, he did well to keep them calm and safe) and of course all the divers involved (one  sadly died during the rescue mission).
